Rechtsgeschichte as a print version was first published in 2002 by Klostermann Verlag. Beginning with issue 20 (2012), the journal is also being published online in open access. In connection to this change, the journal’s multilingualism was extended which is expressed by the new name “Rechtsgeschichte – Legal History”. The frequency of publication since then has been shifted to one issue per year. Current as well as previous issues can still be purchased at bookshops or directly via the
